Joseph - in what ways do you require your students to interact? What sorts of assignments/activities?
DonnaG
03:58:56
Joseph is the weekly course map for yourself or shared with students?
Joseph Kerski
03:59:27
Christopher - I can send you the actual lessons but in short 2 main ways - responding to the readings, videos, and hands-on activities, and then sharing the results of their analyses (as screen shots, storymaps, or AGOL maps).
Joseph Kerski
03:59:54
DonnaG: Shared with students, i have 1 course map graphic for each week. It is in the syllabus.
Joseph Kerski
04:00:05

04:01:55
Jennifer, I really like this question you're posing. We need a new word to replace "distance education" or "remote education"
DonnaG
04:02:30
yes I have stated accessibility needs for individual students. good point about multi-modal communication
Joseph Kerski
04:03:08
The accessibility issue is a challenge, maybe you can expand on it at the end a bit.
DonnaG
04:04:34
need verbal communication with captioning, but also more needs... course note-taker
Joseph Kerski
04:06:04
Yes, agreed, ... it is just education... online, F2F, hybrid are just ways to do it; any method can be valuable if done carefully/thoughtfully.
Patricia Carbajales

Thanks Joseph - in shifting from mostly Pro to mostly AGO for 2 GIS courses in a week (like most of us), I'd love any exercises/activities shared that you have.

Tania Intriago

I usually set up a “Tech Support” discussion board in Canvas every week so they can collaborate on tech issues. Often they solve problem before I get to it thereby saving me time!
